How to automate screenshots of a Looker Studio report

Learn how to automate the process of taking recurring screenshots of a Looker Studio report using PagePixels.

PagePixels is a screenshot automation solution that can take scheduled screenshots of almost anything on the web, including Looker Studio reports.

PagePixels is free to start, and this tutorial demonstrates how to capture recurring screenshots of a Looker Studio report every 30 minutes.

How to automate taking a screenshot of a Looker Studio report.

To take scheduled snapshots of a Looker Studio report:

Create a screenshot

Log in to your PagePixels account, and click the "+Create Screenshot" button.

Set your schedule

By default, recurring screenshots are set to every 5 minutes.

To take a screenshot every 30 minutes, change the default frequency value "5" to "30" by clicking into the input box and updating the number.

Add your URL

Copy and paste your Looker Studio report's public share link into the "Website URL to Capture" field.

Increase "Time to wait" value

Because data visualizations can take a long time to load, we recommend increasing the "Time to wait" value from 1500 to 8000 (value is in milliseconds).

If the visualizations are still not fully loaded, you can increase this value further (max is 20000).

Save Screenshot

Click the green "Save Screenshot" (top-right) button.

Your screenshot automation is officially set, and your first screenshot will be taken shortly.
