Take website screenshots inside your Zaps.
Add PagePixels as a step and any Zap can capture a page, act on it first, or turn data from another app into an image, then send that image anywhere Zapier reaches. On every plan, including the free one.
- Instant and multi-step captures, usable as fields in the rest of the Zap.
- Send the image on to thousands of Zapier apps.
- Build a capture out of data from another app, or your own HTML.

How to take a screenshot in Zapier in four steps
If you have built a Zap before, this is the part you can skim. PagePixels behaves like any other app in the editor.
-
Create a free account
Sign up for PagePixels first, because the Zapier step needs an account to connect to. Every feature is on the free plan.

Add PagePixels to the Zap
In the Zap editor, search for PagePixels Screenshots and add it as an action step, then connect your account when prompted.
search: PagePixels -
Choose what to capture
Point it at a URL, add multi-step actions if the page needs a login or a click first, or hand over HTML built from an earlier step.

Use the image downstream
The step returns the capture as a field. Map it into whatever comes next: Drive, Slack, an email, a database row, a document.
map → next step
Step-by-step screens, field by field, are in the Zapier guide. There is also an index of app-by-app recipes if you would rather start from the app you want the image to land in.
Three ways to make an image, and none of them need a URL you can already see.
The obvious one is a live page: give the step a URL and it returns the capture. The second is a page you have to work for, where the step logs in, dismisses the banner, or clicks through before capturing.
The third is the one people forget. Data from an earlier step can become the image itself. Rows from a spreadsheet, an email body, a JSON response: build the HTML in the Zap and hand it over, and you get back a picture a human can read at a glance.
All of it runs on the same engine as the web app and the API, on every plan, so nothing here is a cut-down connector version of the product.

A live page
urlThe straightforward case. Give the step a URL and the size you want, and it returns the capture for the rest of the Zap to use.

Once it is a field in your Zap, it can go anywhere Zapier goes.
Thousands of apps, and a recipe index if you would rather start from the destination than the capture.
- The image png · jpeg · webp · pdf
- The capture itself, full page or one selector, ready to attach, upload, or embed in the next step.
- A permanent link embed url
- Always resolves to the latest capture of that config, with no API key in the URL, so it is safe to paste into a doc or a message.
- The archive copy kept here
- Every capture is filed in the archive and listable through the API, whatever the Zap does with its copy.
- AI analysis written answer
- Ask a question of the capture and pass the answer through the Zap alongside the image.
- Rendered HTML html
- Optionally the fully rendered markup, for a step that needs to parse rather than look.
Worth knowing before you build: scheduling, change detection, and delivery to Slack, Dropbox, or a webhook are built in here, so a Zap is not required to make captures recur. Use Zapier when the capture has to start from another app, or land somewhere we do not integrate with directly.
A Zap that captures a login screen every hour is worse than no Zap.
The pages worth automating are usually gated: a dashboard behind a login, a report you generate, a consent wall in the way. Most screenshot steps take a URL and nothing else, so they return the wrong screen politely and on schedule.
Multi-step actions are part of the Zapier step, not a web-app-only luxury. Fill the fields, submit, wait for the element, then capture, all inside the one action.
Captures can also run through a Real Location in 150+ countries, states, and cities, so a geo-gated page reaches your Zap the way a local customer sees it.

Sheets → PagePixels → Drive
A screenshot per row
Someone adds a URL to a spreadsheet, the Zap captures it and files the image in Drive with the row's name. Useful for link audits and site inventories.

Proof in the confirmation
When a client submits a form, capture the page or the generated summary and attach the image to the confirmation email they receive.

PagePixels → CRM
Attach evidence to the record
A change alert fires a webhook into Zapier, and the Zap files the capture against the right account in your CRM so the next person to open it sees what happened.

Airtable → PagePixels → Slack
Reports nobody has to build
Turn a filtered view into HTML, capture it as an image, and post it to the channel on a schedule instead of writing the weekly update by hand.

Screenshots in Zapier, answered.
Create a free PagePixels account, add PagePixels Screenshots as an action step in your Zap, connect the account when prompted, and tell the step what to capture: a URL, a URL with multi-step actions in front of it, or HTML assembled from an earlier step. The image comes back as a field you can map into any later step.
Yes. The Zapier app, and every other integration, is on every plan including the free one. There are no connector tiers and no per-destination fees. The free plan is 25 screenshots a month with no credit card and no phone number.
Yes, and this is the part most screenshot steps cannot do. Multi-step actions run inside the same Zapier action: fill the fields, submit, wait for the element to appear, then capture. The same thirteen action types the web app and the API use are available.
Yes. Build the HTML in the Zap from a spreadsheet row, an email body, or an API response and hand it to the step, and you get an image back with every capture option still available. It is how a filtered view or a plain-text payload becomes something a person will actually read.
No. Scheduling from every five minutes to once a year, change detection, and delivery to Slack, Dropbox, or a webhook are all built in, so captures can recur without any Zap running. Reach for Zapier when the capture needs to start from another app or land somewhere we do not integrate with directly.
Yes. A change notification can post to a webhook, and a Zapier catch hook is a webhook, so a page moving can be the thing that files a record, opens a task, or messages a customer. The body names the watched selector and the values on either side of the change.
Zapier is one of ten. The same capture can go anywhere on this list.
