How to schedule screenshots of websites

Learn how to schedule screenshots of websites by time interval, day of the week, time of day, and time zone using PagePixels.

Time of day: Take screenshots between set hours or minute ranges, eg. 12pm and 2pm or 8:00am and 8:10am.

Time zone: Set up screenshot automations that use different time zones based on your business and client needs.

How to schedule a screenshot by time interval

Create a screenshot

Log in to your PagePixels account, and click the "+Create Screenshot" button.

Set your desired interval

By default, recurring screenshots are taken every 5 minutes.

To change the default value (5), click into the input box and change the number.

To change the frequency, click on "Minutes" and select another option from the drop down menu ("Hours", "Days", "Weeks", "Months", and "Years").

Set URL

Copy and paste the URL for the website you want to screenshot.

Save Screenshot

Click the green "Save Screenshot" (top-right) button.

Your scheduled screenshot automation is now live, and your first screenshot will be taken shortly.

How to schedule a screenshot by days of the week

Log in to your PagePixels account, and click the "+Create Screenshot" button.

Set your desired interval

By default, recurring screenshots are taken every 5 minutes.

To change the default value (5), click into the input box and change the number.

Open Advanced Scheduling options

Click the blue "Advanced Scheduling" link (just below interval settings).

Select days of the week

Check which days you want your screenshot automation to run.

You can also configure the time of day and time zone.

Set URL

Copy and paste the URL for the website you want to screenshot.

Save Screenshot

Click the green "Save Screenshot" (top-right) button.

Your scheduled screenshot is now set, and your first screenshot will be captured soon.

How to schedule a screenshot by time of day and time zone

Open Advanced Scheduling options

Set the time of day range for your screenshot

Schedule the time of day you want your screenshot automation to run.

Click on the first blue link (default "12:00 AM") to set your start time, and the second blue link (default "11:59PM") to set your stop time.

Set time zone

To change what time zone your screenshot configuration uses, click the blue "change" link, and select a time zone from the available options.

📝 NOTES

The instructions above are for changing the timezone of a single screenshot configuration.

If you want to change the default time zone your account uses for all new screenshot configurations instead,

  1. Click on the "Profile" link in the right side bar menu.
  2. Click on the current time zone set for your account (under the "Time Zone" field).
  3. Choose a time zone from the list of available options.

Click the green "Save Screenshot" (top-right) button.

Your scheduled screenshot automation is now ready to go, and your first screenshot will appear shortly.
