How to automate screenshots of an Airtable base

Learn how to automatically take screenshots of an Airtable base using PagePixels.

Introduction

PagePixels is a screenshot automation tool that you can use to take automated scheduled screenshots of web pages, including your Airtable bases.

PagePixels is free to start, and this tutorial demonstrates how to create a screenshot automation that captures a screenshot of an Airtable base every 30 minutes.

How to automate taking a screenshot of an Airtable base.

To take recurring screenshots of an Airtable base every 30 minutes:

1

Create a screenshot

Log in to your PagePixels account, and click the "+Create Screenshot" button.

2

Set your schedule

By default, recurring screenshots are set to every 5 minutes.

To take a screenshot every 30 minutes, change the default frequency value "5" to "30" by clicking into the input box and updating the number.

3

Add your URL

Copy and paste the share link for your Airtable base into the "Website URL to Capture" field.

4

Increase the "Time to wait" value

Because Airtable bases can sometimes take a long time to load, we recommend increasing the "Time to wait" value from 1500 to 8000 (value is in milliseconds).

If your Airtable base still doesn't appear fully loaded in the screenshot, you can increase this value further (max is 20000).

5

Save Screenshot

Click the green "Save Screenshot" button (top-right).

Your screenshot automation is officially set, and your first screenshot will be taken shortly.
