How to automate screenshots of current weather reports using the NOAA National Weather Service website

Introduction

How to automate taking screenshots of a National Weather Service weather information report

To capture automatic screenshots of a National Weather Service weather report:

Create a screenshot

Log in to your PagePixels account, and click the +Create Screenshot button.

Set your schedule

By default, scheduled screenshots are taken every 5 minutes.

For a daily screenshot, update the fields to: 1 Days

Add URL

Copy and paste the link to your National Weather Service weather report page into the Website URL to Capture field.

Add CSS Selector (Optional)

Increase Wait Time

Scroll to the Waiting section.

Change the Time to wait value from 1500 (default) to: 6000

This will give the page more time to load before taking the screenshot. Max is 20000 (unless you have the 5-minute Timeout Addon).

Save Screenshot

Click the green Save Screenshot button (top-right).

Your screenshot automation is officially set, and your first weather report screenshot will be taken shortly.
