How to take automated screenshots of Redfin real estate listings

Learn how to automatically capture scheduled screenshots of a Redfin listing page using PagePixels.

Introduction

PagePixels is a screenshot automation tool that you can use to take automated scheduled screenshots of web pages, including listing pages on Redfin.

PagePixels is free to start, and this tutorial shows you the steps to capture daily automatic screenshots of a Redfin real estate listing.

How to automate taking a screenshot of Redfin listings

To take scheduled screenshots of Redfin real estate listings on a daily schedule:

Create a screenshot

Log in to your PagePixels account, and click the +Create Screenshot button.

Set your schedule

By default, scheduled screenshots are taken every 5 minutes.

For a daily screenshot, update the fields to: 1 Days

Add your URL

Copy and paste a Redfin listing link into the Website URL to Capture field.

Increase Wait Time

Scroll to the Waiting section.

Change the Time to wait value from 1500 (default) to: 6000

Check Full Page Advanced

Scroll to the Page Setup section. Tick the Full Page Advanced checkbox.

This option uses an advanced algorithm to trigger lazy loaded content and capture the entire page.

Add Custom CSS

Sometimes a popup element appears on a Redfin listing that blocks content and interferes with getting a full page screenshot.

To remedy, you can use PagePixels' CSS Injection option.

Copy and paste the following CSS into the CSS Injection field:

Check No Cookie Banners

Scroll to the Ads, Tracking, and Javascript section. Select the No Cookie Banners option.

This option removes the most common cookie banners from displaying in your screenshot.

Save Screenshot

Click the green Save Screenshot button (top-right).

Your screenshot automation is officially set, and your first Redfin listing screenshot will be taken shortly.
